We are two friends who partnered up to bring this tasty Hawaiian delight here to California. One of us, in fact, was born in Hawaii and comes from a family business – a sushi restaurant – so you can be sure that the poke you enjoy here at Poke Pub is as true to a Hawaiian pa’ina as can be!
What "Poké" Means to Us
In Hawaiian, "poké" means to slice or cut. It's a tradition, a method, and a moment. We serve sushi-grade fish cut fresh, paired with our homemade marinades. Each bowl is built with intention—to be light, bold, and layered with real flavor.

But with Poke becoming such a sensation in California (and throughout the U.S.), what is it that Poke Pub does differently? Well, while most restaurants view their customers as, simply put, “customers” (not that there’s anything wrong with that!), we want each and every person who walks through our doors to feel like Ohana – family.
Marinated to Perfection
Here at Poke Pub, we offer new-school versions of Poké which consists of freshly marinated raw (sushi grade) fish served atop in a bowl with your choice of toppings to complete the perfect Poke bowl. Our marinade is a special blend, a homemade recipe meant to capture all of the wonderful sights and sounds of Hawaii. It pulls all of the delicious ingredients together and adds further depth to this amazingly simple dish.
Aloha Spirit – Spirit of Kindness and Affection
Our Poke bowls are authentic Poke inspired by Hawaii’s cool ocean breeze and beautiful, warm sunsets. Poké (poh-keh), which translates to “to section, slice, or cut” in Hawaiian, is chunks of raw fish cut into cubes and then marinated.
